Maria Luiza Munhoz is a Brazilian film editor based in the UK. Her career began in Brazil as an editor and post-production coordinator on films featured at major national festivals such as Tiradentes and Brasília. Now holding an MFA in Editing from the National Film and Television School (NFTS), Maria has gained significant international recognition. Her recent credits include Ether (dir. Vida Skerk), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival (La Cinef 2025), and Orchids: Darwin’s Conundrum, a finalist for a BAFTA Student Award and winner of a Jackson Wild Award (the "Oscars" of science and natural history filmmaking). With deep roots in Latin American cinema, Maria bridges Brazilian and European storytelling traditions to create edits that are both culturally authentic and globally resonant.
